No matter what you might think of those who believe in manifestation, it has to be said that an important part of making progress in life is operating with a certain amount of delusion. Nothing so wild that you lose all touch with reasonable reality, of course, but just enough of a reach-for-the-moon attitude that at the very least you might land on the clouds. Ultimately, it is about cultivating a healthy sense of self-confidence with which to present yourself to the world. Even when they have a negative attitude, memes are pretty good at doing that. They know who they are and they're not afraid to show it, and they come with the readymade assumption that some people, somewhere, have to enjoy them at some point.
